Album: The very best of Prince
A vocal genius that will leave you wanting more….

A master in all genres of music, Prince will have you dancing to his Rock n Roll beats mixed with funk then have you singing along to his soothing sounds. The very best of Prince which was released on July 31, 2001 covers his most successful singles from 1979 to1991.

Born Prince Rogers Nelson has graced us with funky songs that have made him the legend that he is. This great artist laid the groundwork for the Minneapolis sound, which was greatly influenced by a tweaked mixture of funk, rock, pop, R&B and New Wave.

The Album the very best of Prince covers some of the best songs Prince has done in his music career. These songs are taken from albums from Purple Rain which in turn is title and the song. The song was rated #2 in the USA in 1984, the song not only shows off Princes versatility but is shows the brilliance of the artist himself.

The album’s track list features 17 songs from number one 1979 hit I Wanna Be Your Lover, 1999, Little Red Corvette, When Doves Cry (Edit LP Version), Let’s Go Crazy, Purple Rain, I Would Die 4 U, Raspberry Beret, Kiss, Sign ‘O’ The Times, U Got The Look, Alphabet St., Thieves In The Temple ( LP Version ), Gett Off ( LP Version), Cream ( LP Version W/O Rap Monologue)[13], Diamonds And Pearls (Edit)and Money Don’t Matter 2 Night ( LP Version).

My favorite songs in this album have to be purple rain, the raw sounds of the guitars and drums playing in the background. The song has heart and soul with lyrics such as I never wanted to be your weekend lover.I only wanted to be some kind of friend.Baby I could never steal you from another. It’s such a shame our friendship had to end.

The other favorite is Diamonds which has a mellow and laid back sound to it with a mixture of rock. The song takes you from a journey one moment you are reminiscing the next moving to the sounds of the strings of the guitar.

This album caters for all people from lovers of rock, funk RnB or jazz. Prince’s many acclaimed controversial lyrics will leave you forgetful of critics and instead have you singing along. This American singer, songwriter and actor is one of the greatest legends still alive who continues to produce phenomenal—timeline-233591
