Swedish House Mafia is a Swedish electronic dance music trio consisting of three house disc jockeys and producers, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. The group officially formed in late 2008. This popular supergroup has been placed at number ten on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll 2011 and have been called “the faces of mainstream progressive house music on the 24th of June 2012, the group announced via their website that their current tour would be their last together before parting ways. In 2012, Swedish House Mafia won an EBBA Award. Every year the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA ) recognize the success of ten emerging artists or groups who reached audiences outside their own countries with their first internationally released album in the past year.
Swedish House Mafia has announced a new compilation album: Until Now http://www.nme.com/news/swedish-house-mafia/66168 , which is to accompany their upcoming final run of tour dates. This new album was released on the 22nd of October 2012; this album contains original tracks, remixes, collaborations, solo productions, and more. Highlights include the group’s new single ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ (which recently got its own video), a previously unreleased reworking of Coldplay’s ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’, and a new remix of Usher’s ‘Euphoria’. As for the tour, it is titled One Last Tour; the group has already announcd its tour schedule on the 24th of September 2012 and it can be acessed online.Swedish House Mafia will trek around the world in the next few months for their appropriately named One Last Tour, which the EDM superstars. It will also mark some first visits for the group, as they will make their live debuts in India, Russia and South Africa.The trio’s farewell tour kicks off on the16th of November at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, with shows continuing across Europe through the end of the year. After that, the Swedes return to North America, starting with a show on February 16th at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco and ending on March 9th at the Masquerade Motel in Los Angeles.
