White Trash Party

White Trash Party

Eminem?s [1] recovery from his previous albums? relapse marks the rise of the Detroit star. Recovery exhibits not only his talent but also his ability to expose his feelings through music to his fans. With mega hits like [2] Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna (his biggest single to date from this album), Not Afraid and new music video release No Love; this is beyond doubt that one of his greatest offerings.

One cannot doubt that the Recovery album is to some extent is a total 180?? to the previous one but nonetheless the Eminem that everyone knows. Talking to Myself featuring Kobe is confession of the things he was going through (his prescription pills addiction etc.). If you are looking for the Eminem that made the world fall inlove with his music with songs such as Stan, 8 mile and When I?m Gone, then you are in luck. The song arrangement, content and emotion behind the album commands hip hop lovers (actually music lovers in general) to sit up, turn up the stereo and move to his beat.

His first single Not Afraid was a self-confession that talks of him trying to find his way back to the ?game? (hip hop). In some of his lines he says, ?And to the fans, I’ll never let you down again, I’m back, I promise to never go back on that promise, in fact let’s be honest, that last Relapse CD was “ehhhh”?. This is an indicator that he acknowledges that his music has been out of character but the Recovery promises Marshall Matters as we know.
This album is concentrated with numerous collaborations hip hop artists, like Lil Wayne [3], Dr Dre and even punk rock artists like Pink. ?No Love? with Lil Wayne though has everyone, including me, believing that rap two super powers can indeed make a commendable duo. In one of his songs he says ?Hatred was flowing through my veins. On the verge of going insane
I almost made a song dissin Lil Wayne. It’s like I was jealous of him ’cause of the attention he was gettin’?. I am definitely glad that he did not go looking for ?beef?.

Eminem though there is a certain maturity in this album, the man is still The Original Slim Shady. Controversial songs that are definitely offensive like W.T.P (White Trash Party) [4] and Seduction will certainly send off alarms. With lyrics such as, ?So let’s have us a little bash, and if anyone asks, If there ain’t no one but us trash, you dunno, you better ask somebody, Cuz we’re havin’ a White Trash Party!? and ?There’s a seven disc cd changer in her car, and I’m in every single slot, and you’re not?. No doubt Marshall Matters as we know him is back; bigger or better? That I do not know but he is unmistakably mature.
